Registered Nurse to Master of Science Program

The RN-to-MS program is also ideal for associate degree holders with extra college credits, as 12 additional arts and science undergraduate credits are required for admission to the RN-to-MS program.

Bachelor's students at SUNY Upstate may apply to the RN-to-MS fast track program, which allows completion of the bachelor's and master's degree in three years of full time study. Students must enroll in the program full-time in the fall semester to complete the program in 3 years - Students may enroll in the program either fall or spring semester part-time.

RNs may apply at any time during their BS degree studies. Nurses in our bachelor's program who transition to this program are able to reduce one course from their BS degree curriculum and take two graduate level courses at undergraduate tuition rates.

I went to work after earning my assoc-
iate's degree, and kept right on going to school. Courses like Nurse as Educator fit right in with what I want to do professionally. In class, not only do you develop lasting friendships with students and faculty, but itís encouraging to be around so many nurses, in all sorts of careers. "
