Tuition and FeesBecause we are part of the State University of New York (SUNY) education system, tuition for programs at SUNY Upstate costs much less than those at private institutions. Tuition (Cost of Attendance)In 2007-2008, tuition for undergraduate students from New York state was $2,175 per semester full-time (12 credits or more) and $181 per credit part-time (fewer than 12 credits). Tuition for graduate students from New York state was $3,450 per semester (12 credits or more) and $288 per credit part-time (fewer than 12 credits). Tuition for students in the post master's program is charged per credit at the graduate rate. Applicants may request to test out of or waive a post master's program requirement. Yearly fees for full-time students include a SUNY College Fee ($25), Student Activity Fee ($130), Health Service Fee ($146), Technology Fee ($100), and Disability Insurance Fee ($65). These fees are pro-rated for part-time students. All students must have health insurance at the time of registration.
