*Social and Behavioral Dimensions of Public Health, MPHP 604, (3) Lane, SU

This core course in Social and Behavioral Aspects of Public Health covers three broad areas of public health research, theory, and practice: (1) social determinants of population health, (2) health promotion and behavior change, and (3) health inequalities. The course takes a biocultural approach, focusing on both individual-level health risks—the so-called lifestyle factors in health outcomes—and on macro-level policies and systems that provide the context in which health and health inequalities occur.
