FacilitiesStudents in the College of Health Professions can take advantage of a variety of laboratories and clinical teaching sites when they are not attending class. SUNY Upstate's Institute for Human Performance and the Campus Activities Building are within walking distance of Silverman Hall, which houses all Health Professions programs except Medical Technology. That program has laboratory and office space in adjacent Weiskotten Hall. The offices of the dean and associate dean are housed in Silverman Hall, which has undergone significant renovations including a new student lounge. Clinical Teaching SitesStudents in the College of Health Professions learn many of their skills at clinical teaching sites, including University Hospital. The hospital is one of almost 200 clinical sites in Central New York, including diagnostic labs, outpatient clinics and smaller regional hospitals. These sites allow the college to offer an exceptional education to students by placing them in the midst of working health care professionals and, in some cases, allowing them to work with patients. |
