The multi-symptom differential diagnosis database VisualDx is now available campus-wide and with remote access enabled. Previously, it was only available in the hospital with no remote access. This database utilizes radiographic images and dermatologic photographs and illustrations for diagnostic assistance.

Due to lower than anticipated usage and financial constraints, the Library’s subscription to the DynaMed database has been cancelled. The Library has retained two databases that are more than adequate substitutes, ACP PIER and Essential Evidence Plus (formerly known as InfoPoems). If you have any questions or comments about this cancellation, please contact Brad Long, Head of Reference & Liaison Services or call 464-7112.

Phase one of the redesign of the library website introducing a new look and feel has been launched! While most site features and navigation remain familiar, visitors will see some new elements including the “Library Assistant” which will evolve over time into a customizable application.
Subsequent phases of the redesign will begin to incorporate new features such as frequently updated content on the home page in the form of news updates, a gallery of images (many from our rich historical archives) and more personalized access to library resources.
Some of our resources are hosted remotely and retain the look of the previous site; you will see these updates occurring in the near future.
