Welcome from the Director

SUNY Upstate Medical University's Office of Diversity and Affirmative Action (ODAA) is committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity, diversity and inclusion. Our mission is to ensure a campus environment that respects and values the diversity of all who work, learn and receive care here. SUNY Upstate does not tolerate prejudice, harassment and discrimination on the basis of gender, ethnicity, race, national origin, age, religion, marital status, disability, veteran era status, or sexual orientation.

Our goal is to develop and implement programs to support the University's commitment to diversity and affirmative action, and to ensure, for all individuals, a work and educational environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.
